SITE-VISITS

Want to get the whole yard enrolled on a Targeted Worm Control Program?

We offer livery site visits if you've got a large number of horses that you'd like to either get tested with Worm Egg Counts or just get a program plan sorted. We offer discounts on testing for yards with 10+ horses.

Making sure you get the most out of our services

HOW IT WORKS

PRE-VISIT

  1. Get in touch with an advisor to discuss your yard's requirements.  

  2. If worm egg counts are suitable, we'll book you in for a site-visit. You can choose whether you'd like the samples processed on-site or taken back to the laboratory where they'll receive priority processing.

  3. Complete the Pre-Visit Assessment for each horse- ideally complete this before the visit so you can obtain any information from separate owners if required. We will send you the assessment in an accessible format suitable for filling in for multiple horses.

  4. We'll send you sample bags and gloves to collect the samples. 

THE DAY BEFORE

5. Collect dung samples if having Worm Egg Counts carried out - ideally store in a fridge overnight. This can be carried out on the day of the visit however, from experience, there are always a few that decide not to ‘perform’.

ON THE DAY

6. Site walk around: your chance to showcase your yard!
7. Discuss responses to the Pre-Visit Assessment (possibly over a cuppa?)
8. If having samples processed on-site, sample analysis will begin
9. Discussion of results, treatment advice if necessary and next steps
10. If you wish to purchase any necessary treatments from us, you can place an order
11. If you wish for the samples to be processed back at base, we will take them off your hands and do the rest!

AFTER-CARE

12. Any treatments purchased will be despatched to you
13. A digital copy of the results and advice provided will be emailed to the lead contact for the yard.
14. Let us know when you’ve administered them to the relevant individuals and we will arrange a date to collect samples for resistance testing.

WHEN THE NEXT STEP OF THE PROGRAMME IS DUE

We aim to send you a reminder when your livery yard's next step is due. Even better, we'll book you in for a visit after the first one, to help you all keep on track.

If you have had any new horses join the yard, we will need you to get their owners to fill out the Pre-Visit Assessment to ensure that a worm egg count is suitable for them. We will also get you to fill out a condensed version of the Pre-Visit Assessment for each resident. This allows us to tweak any advice if there have been any changes to their husbandry or health history.

SITE-VISIT CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way. Our cancellation policy aims to be fair and give everyone a chance. We will give you 3 chances before charging you non-refundable deposit of £25 on each visit.

If you're having the samples collected for priority processing back at the laboratory, please make sure all samples are ready for the pre-arranged time. This is so we can make sure all samples are completed the same day.

PAYMENT POLICY

You can either pay with cash on the day or we can send you an invoice via email. The balance first invoice will be due on the day the samples are processed. Going forward from there, subject to prompt payment, we can extend the standard invoice terms to a maximum of 14 days. We are open to discuss individual requirements so if you feel you need longer invoice terms.

CONFIDENTIALITY

All the data we collect during the Pre-Visit Assessment and any subsequent questionnaires will be kept and used in the strictest of confidence and will only be used to plan your horses' worm control programme.

As part of our mission to contribute to scientific research, prior to us embarking on any project that requires the use of data we have already collected, we will always ask your permission. All data will be anonymised during an research projects and you retain the right to withdraw from the study at any point.

IF IT'S JUST NOT WORKING OUT

If you decide that the service we provide no longer suits your yard, you are under no obligation to remain with us. This is why we offer the pay as you go payment set-up. Please give us feedback on what we can do to improve, and if there is anything we can do help.
