EQUINE SERVICES
Testing is what underpins a targeted approach to parasite control in horses. We can deliver our services in a variety of ways to make it easier for you to put into practice as we realise that life gets very busy!
ROUTINE WORM EGG COUNT
Livery Site-Visit
We travel out to your yard, carry out a pre-testing assessment and carry out the worm egg counts on site
1-4 horses: £10.50 per horse
5-9 horses: £9.50 per horse
10+ horses: £8.50 per horse
There is a call-out charge of £10 per yard, which can be split between owners.
RESISTANCE TEST
Livery-Site Visit
If you've already wormed your horse with a product that you purchased elsewhere, we can provide follow-up resistance testing. This allows you to make sure that the product used worked as expected.
£5.00 per horse
If you have a number of horse's you'd like to have a resistance test carried out for and would like to schedule a livery visit, please get in touch and we will arrange a visit.
EQUISAL TAPEWORM TEST

The EquiSal kits come with everything you need to take a saliva sample for testing. There is a pre-paid postage envelope also included so you can send the samples off to the Austin Davis Biologics Lab.
Results will be reported back to us and we will be in contact with suitable advice.

SPRING/AUTUMN TESTING BUNDLE

Get both tests done in one go. We offer a special offer when you purchase both a Routine Worm Egg Count and EquiSal Tapeworm Testing Kit at the same time.
Also includes, follow-up resistance test if your horse requries treatment based on the worm egg count result.
1-4 horse: £25.00

PINWORM TEST

If you suspect your horse may have pinworm, you can test with a pinworm test. Classical symptoms of Pinworm infection included itching of the horse's anus.
Mature female pinworm lay their eggs around the horse's anus. The eggs are coated in a sticky substance which is irritant to the horse, causing them to scratch.
A pinworm test is carried out by placing a small amount of sticky tape around the horse's anus to collect any eggs that may be present. The tape is then placed on a blank microscope slide and examined under the microscope
